I believe that prayer is a very powerful tool that can be used to bring about a change in the lives of people. It’s a weapon that we can use against the schemes of the enemy, whose only desire is to kill, steal, and destroy us. We have been given the armor of God and are exhorted to pray.
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
Ephesians 6:18

I remember when I met Ms. Mary Malinao last month at a prayer conference she told me that I was a product of an intercessor. Upon hearing that I was waiting for her to continue but then she repeated it again to me. I nodded my head in agreement and then after repeating it to myself I realized that I am a product of an intercessor. My mom is a mighty intercessor who never ceases to pray for me and other members of our family. I believe one of the reasons I am what I am today is because of the prayers of my mom. Looking back I can probably think of several different scenarios my life could look like, all of which are a far cry from the reality I live today.
For many years I’ve downplayed prayer and limited it to a means of asking from God. Over the past year I believe I’ve grown in terms of my prayer life and I still want to grow and learn how to wield prayer the way God intended. It’s high time that we apply what the Apostle Paul exhorted us to do when praying in the Spirit… on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers, and for all people.
