Classes have started and a new school year is upon us. Many have graduated high school and are starting a new season in their lives as they enter college. The rest have moved one step closer to finishing their respective levels of education. With all the change and the growth that is happening around the young men and women around me, one thing still remains… for the gospel to be known among the young people.
I remember during our youth camp we made a wall, the great commission wall, for the students to post the names of their friends and classmates they could share the gospel with and pray for. We told them to write down 3 names they were believing would come to know Jesus and discover the truth behind the gospel. According to Romans 1:16, the gospel is the power of God that can bring about a radical change in the life of a person.
So consider this my reminder to the young people of NEON and the rest of the gospel-centered, spirit empowered young men and women to win your campus for the glory of Christ. Share the gospel, spread the news about God’s great love and amazing grace. Let the youth of today know that they have a great purpose and destiny in Christ. That Jesus is the only one who can satisfy their longings and deepest desires. Share the truth about hope in Christ and the promises of His Word. May you run with the vision that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.
