I remember when I was still studying in DLSU how it had always been a prayer of ours that we’d have a gathering of students from Lasalle, CSB, and St. Scho, worshipping God and being discipled. That dream has now become a reality because of the current men and women reaching out to the students in the Lasalle area. For the past several months they’ve been meeting as a cluster of small groups on a weekly basis, which they call the Lasalle Cluster. And it’s really encouraging how the members come from different churches, yet they are united in winning their campus for Christ.
Last Tuesday on Valentine’s Day I was invited to speak at LIVE, their first monthly gathering of students from the Lasalle area. I said ‘yes’ right away because of the opportunity to minister to students from my alma mater. The event was in a function room two blocks away from the campus, which could not contain everyone who came that day. A good sign, seeing that more than 100 students tried to fit inside a room that could only hold about 70. I’m really excited for what God has in store for the Lasalle Cluster and I believe we’ll soon see a great harvest from the campuses in the area. ANIMO LA SALLE!
