Jeremy Lin. Everyone is talking, tweeting, facebooking about him. This young man wasn’t recruited from high school nor was he drafted from college. Was brought out of the D-League to warm the bench of the New York Knicks. Even with all the stars fronting the Knicks lineup they haven’t quite lived up to all the hype. Not really sure what exactly led D’Antoni to put Jeremy Lin in the starting lineup but I doubt he’s regretting his decision. I think it’s great that there are young men in the sports arena who are accomplishing great things at the same time living out a life that reflects the gospel.

There was an interview of Jeremy Lin back in 2010. I’d like to share an excerpt from the interview, which you can catch here: Part 1, Part 2
“When you’re called to be a Christian, you’re automatically called to be different from everyone else. In today’s world of basketball, it makes you really different, because the things that society values aren’t necessarily in line with what God values. Much of it comes down to humility. We as Christians are called to be humble. And if we really understand the gospel, we will be humble. We should be humble, and understand that everything that is good comes from God.”
