We’re approaching two years in NEON, our weekly youth service, yet it feels like a new season. It could be the fact that it’s a new year or that we have a new venue to house NEON. We launched our first NEON for the year just last Saturday and it feels like we’re starting all over again.
After our first youth service in our new home we can already see new challenges. We occupy about ten percent of the main hall, which produces a need to fill up the place. We’re believing that God will increase our number to about 300 young people, consistently worshipping God every week. There’s also the need to raise up more youth leaders who will help disciple the next generation and serve in NEON.
A new season is upon us and I would like to commend our current volunteers in NEON, high school and college students, dedicated to seeing other young people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. I would also like to challenge others to move beyond their comfort zones and be used by God for His glory.
